The MMC for Water and Sanitation, Clr Thembi Msane, visited the Tambo Springs Reservoir construction site to check progress on a new concrete reservoir.
The MMC for Water and Sanitation, Clr Thembi Msane, conducted an oversight visit to the Tambo Springs Reservoir construction site on August 6.
Msane visited the site in Springs to monitor progress on the construction of a 10 ML concrete reservoir. The reservoir will play a vital role in supporting the Tambo Springs Inland Port development, which the City of Ekurhuleni says will soon bring warehouse and logistics businesses to the area.
“It will also ensure a reliable water supply for both businesses and surrounding communities,” the city said.
The city added that the key features of the project include a roof slab and ring beam, steel access ladder, waterproofing, stormwater and overflow infrastructure, perimeter palisade fencing, and main security gate installation.
