the dti -

private sector developers and project sponsors are invited to submit information on financially viable projects with a minimum value of r5 million for inclusion in investor database to be presented at 2006 tourism indaba

in line with its focus of facilitating private sector investment in the priority sectors identified by government, the dti is planning to host an investor’s lounge at the 2006 indaba. a number of potential domestic and foreign investors with interest in obtaining equity share will be brought in to engage with the sponsors of financially viable investment projects in the tourism sector. towards this end, the dti is in the process of building an investment project database.

private sector developers and project sponsors are invited to submit information on financially viable projects with a minimum value of r5 million for inclusion in the database. based on their ability to generate employment, further black economic empowerment, enhance product diversity or open new markets, certain of these projects may be chosen for promotion at indaba 2006. in order to be considered for inclusion in the database, project information submitted should include a brief project description and supporting documentation (e.g. business plans, feasibility studies, etc.) that clearly indicate project viability as well as market and financial feasibility.

for projects to qualify for the 2006 indaba intake, project information must be emailed to bernhardm@thedti.gov.za or posted to tourism desk, the dti, private bag x84, pretoria, 0001, and reach the dti by no later than friday 30 november 2005.
