About this development
Construction of the up to 440MW FS Stinkputs wind energy facility and associated infrastructure located on Portions 1, 3 and 4 of the Farm Stink Puts South 260 approximately 57km north of Loeriesfontein, Northern Cape. The WEF will consist of up to 55 wind turbines,underground and above-ground cabling between project components, onsite substation/s, battery energy storage systems (BESS), foundations to support turbine towers, internal/ access roads linking the wind turbines and other infrastructure on the site, and permanent workshop area and office for control, maintenance and storage. As far as possible, existing roads will be utilised and upgraded where needed with the relevant stormwater infrastructure and gates constructed as required. The perimeter may be enclosed with suitable fencing. A formal laydown area for the construction period, containing a temporary maintenance and storage building along with a guard cabin will also be established. The GPS marker has been placed on Portion 1 of the Farm Stink Puts South 260 30°37'07.9"S 19°44'42.4"E
