The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) is a State Corporation in the Ministry of Transport Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Woks; established under Kenya Roads Act 20017 with the core mandate of Management, Development, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of National Urban Road Network. As a leading Government Agency with the above mandate, KURA wishes to invite bids from eligible consultancy firms for consultancy services to be funded through the Kenya Road Annuity Fund (GoK). Implementation of the Road Annuity Programme began in March 2015. The Road Annuity Fund was established under the Public Finance Management (Roads Annuity Fund) Regulations, 2015 (the Annuity Regulations). The Road Annuity Programme is aimed at developing 10,000km of new roads in order to increase the paved road network within the Country. Following these developments and in line with its mandate, Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) identified urban read networks in various counties and packaged them in various Lots for ease of tendering, contract administration and implementation. As per the Annuity Regulations, KURA is now inviting Request for Proposal from eligible international/national Independent Engineering Firms or Consortia to carry out theConsultancey Services for Supervision of the Development of 2,000km of Roads for Lot 18.
