Tender Details The Rural Electrification Board invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Construction of 33kV lines and associated Low Voltage Networks in Priority Rural Electrification Project Areas of: Lot 1: Mbrarara-Kyabirikwa-Kikagati-Kyamate-Ntungamo. The works involve surveying & line profiling, bush clearing, procurement of overhead line construction materials including distribution transformers, bulk metering equipment & switchgear, line construction with the required line protection and carrying out necessary commissioning tests. Bids prepared as separate Lots and Bidders may bid for either one or both Lots. Bidders wishing to allow a discount for award of both lots may do so and such discount will be taken into account in the evaluation of bids. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Bidding Documents. Bid evaluation and contract award will be on basis of each lot, but the award for both lots will be based on bidder's qualification to undertake both lots.
