Tender Details Project: Independent Review Mechanism. Applications requested from individual consultants to be nominated as members to Roster of Experts of Independent Review Mechanism of African Development Bank (AfDB) Group. Independent Review Mechanism, consists of combination of problem solving & compliance reviews, approved by Boards of Bank Group in 2004. Mechanism administered by Compliance Review & Mediation Unit (CRMU) setup with Director, Compliance Officer & secretarial services at AfDB’s Temporary Relocation Agency in Tunis. Members of Roster of Experts working part time participating in Independent Compliance Review Panels authorized by AfDB Group’s Boards of Directors/President 2 investigate alleged violations of AfDB Group’s policies & procedures resulted, or 2 result, in direct adverse material harm 2 people affected by a project financed by AfDB Group. Panels 2 make recommendations 2 Boards of Directors or President. Specific responsibilities: Undertaking compliance reviews; Engaging with stakeholders, in obtaining a thorough understanding of project issues undergoing compliance review; Conducting extensive, objective & independent reviews of policy compliance; Undertaking site visits to affected projects; Preparing & issuing compliance review reports with findings & recommendations; In cooperation with Director CRMU, preparing annual reports that provide lessons learnt from matters considered by mechanism; Liaising with independent review mechanisms of other institutions.
