Tender Details NamPower, the national electric utility of Namibia, is planning to add a fourth Turbine-Generator Unit (the Project) of approximately 85MW to the existing Ruacana Power Plant currently comprising 3 units of 83MW each, on the north-west boundary of Namibia with Angola. NamPower will use the Plant & Design-Build 1st Ed (1999) FIDIC Conditions of Contract (the yellow book) for the works. Most of the civil works required for the 4th generator unit has already been completed. NamPower has appointed NORPLAN, Consulting Engineers and Planners on Hydro Power Projects from Norway, as technical advisor for the project.
