Tender Details Expressions of Interest for the Development of Infrastructure at the Great East Road Campus of the University of Zambia through the Private Public Partnerships (PPP) on a Design, Build, Operate and Transfer Basis - The University of Zambia. The University of Zambia has approximately 135 hectares of vacant land within a prime business area of Lusaka adjacent to the Arcades Shopping Centre and within less than 2 kilometers of the Manda Hill Shopping area. The surrounding area of this land has in the recent past rapidly expanded and it boasts of new developments under construction such as hotels, an office complex and service stations that are fully operational. The University of Zambia intends to develop this land through Private Public Partnerships (PPP) in three phases as follows: Phase 1 - Development of a business park and hotel, student hostels, a sports complex and staff housing; Phase 2 - Shopping Complex, Staff Club and Auditorium; and Phase 3 - Library, School of Law and a Computer Centre. This call for Expressions of Interest is in respect of phase 1 only which has been divided into 7 lots as follows: Lot 1: Business park and hotel; Lot 2: Students hostels covering an area of 39,336.70 m2; Lot 3: Students hostels covering an area of 85,051 m2; Lot 4; Sports complex; Lot 5: Staff houses covering an area of 101,513 m2; Lot 6: Staff houses covering an area of 30,797 m2; and Lot 7: Staff houses covering an area of 67,531 m2.
