Tender Details Competiveness and Enterprise Development Project - Recruitment of an Expert in Initiating Tea Research. The Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project invites eligible individual consultant to indicate their interest in providing the services. The purpose of the tender is to find and contract a qualified and capable consultant who shall help set up and initiate a short term research on tea in Rwanda. Specific duties: Define specific weaknesses and forces of the tea industry in Rwanda and advise the tea industry on such matters; Define specific topics or subjects of short term researches based on present needs in the tea sector; Assess all requirements for starting the short term researches like needed equipments, buildings, etc and their estimated costs; Initiate the short term research. Methodology: The consultant shall determine suitable methodology to obtain the above results; The consultant shall work closely with OCIR-THE; The consultant shall collaborate with NUR, RBS and ISAR institutions; The consultant shall visit tea plantations and factories; Preliminary findings and recommendations shall be presented in suitable document. Profile: One consultant is required: The candidate should be a holder of a master’s degree in agronomy, botany or in any other similar field; The candidate should be a specialist of research on tea. Anticipated results: Initiate short term tea researches based on present needs of the tea industry in Rwanda.
