Tender Details Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest for consulting services for the capacity building of tea cooperatives and associations for the OCIR-THE. OCIR-THE is a parastatal organisation in charge of production and marketing of tea in Rwanda. There are eight government tea estates, three private tea estates and 13 tea cooperatives owners of tea estates, the last ones representing 67 per cent of all tea estates planted in Rwanda. The 13 tea cooperatives have at least 30,000 member’s owners of tea plantations and selling their green leaves to neighboring tea factories. Purpose: Finding technical assistance in training tea cooperatives. Specific Duties: Train staff of tea cooperatives and tea growers on international and national associations/cooperatives principles and values, significance of statutes in cooperatives, aims and objectives of statutes in cooperatives, etc; Train staff of tea cooperatives and tea growers on good management and administration of cooperatives; Propose and add any other useful subject in which tea cooperatives could be trained. ANTICIPATED RESULTS: - Getting tea growers’ cooperatives management committees, staffs and members acquire more knowledge in management, administration, organizational strengthening of cooperatives and any other proposed subjects.
