About this development
Upgrading of the section of the MR00701 (Route R352) between Mgwali and the Great Kei River. The section of road begins approximately 25km north-east of Stutterheim, in the Eastern Cape. The road in an existing gravel road approximately 29km in length. The road is to be upgraded to a surfaced standard whilst adhering to the existing road formation and road reserve. There will be limited geometric improvements to the existing alignment (design speed to be 80km/h and lower). Where required associated drainage structures will be upgraded as will intersections and accesses along the route. Some sections of the road will be paved.
