Redevelopment of a historic 7.3ha steam railway workshop site in Central Uitenhage, in the Eastern Cape. Some 4.7ha thereof is available for private sector development and is zoned "General Business", which permits the building of office blocks, hotels, recreation halls and amusement facilities. This portion of the site contains Victorian-style heritage buildings suitable for conversion into malls, offices, indoor markets etc. This prime site is currently the only land available for development in Central Uitenhage. Hotels, recreation halls and amusement facilities component.
