About this development
Upgrading of the Ramohlakoana sewage reticulation system. The upgrade involves the upgrade of an existing ventilated improved pit sanitation system to a water borne sewage system. The project will also include the construction of oxidation ponds for the treatment of sewage. The proposed water borne sewage system aims to improve the basic human living standards and health profiles within the community in question, as well as provide employment and skills development through the project. The town is situated north west of Matatiele in the Alfred Nzo District Municipality, Eastern Cape. The project will incorporate the construction of oxidation ponds, a pump station and sump, rising main, gravity sewer reticulation network and toilet top structures. The proposed treatment plant will have an annual throughput capacity of greater than 15000m³. Project Value: +/- R80 million.
