Marampa Iron Ore Project, Sierra Leone

Marampa is located near Lunsar, in Sierra Leone. The Marampa Project is defined by a an exploration licence which covers an area of about 319 km² and completely encloses the former Delco open cut mining operation. The project is located about 70km from the Pepel deep water port. African Minerals has completed an aeromagnetic and ground gravity survey over the area and a structural geological analysis. This work confirms the potential for extension of the Marampa mine mineralisation into African Minerals licence area. Estimated project value: Stage 1: $458 million and stage 2 at $1.05 billion.
