The Bumbuna Phase 2 project is expected to significantly increase the power capacity of the Bumbuna hydroelectric plant by 500% from 50MW to 250MW, Phase 2 will be done in 2 stages : Stage 1 will comprise four 33 MW turbines at the Bumbuna extension and dam upstream at Yiben. Stage 2 will comprise two 33MW turbines at Yiben. Estimated project value $700 million.
