Karreebosch Wind Farm (Roggeveld Phase 2 Wind Farm) (NC)

Construction of a 140MW wind energy facility on a site located approximately 30km north of Matjiesfontein and approximately 40km south of Sutherland. The site falls within the Karoo Hoogland Local Municipality in the Northern Cape and the Laingsburg Local Municipality in the Western Cape. The proposed facility will utilise wind turbines to generate electricity that will be fed into Eskom’s national power grid. The project was previously referred to as Roggeveld Phase 2 Wind Farm and is now referred to as the Karreebosch Wind Farm. The GPS marker has been placed at the site of construciton works 32°48'49.0"S 20°36'53.6"E.
