Construction of the Canopus Wind Energy facility situated on Portions 0 (Remaining Extent (RE)), 2, and 8 of Farm Uitvlugt (also known as ‘Puntkraal’) 90, Portions 3, 5, 6, and 9 of Farm Uitvlugt 90, Portion 1 of Farm De Kuilen (also known as ‘Knoffelshoek’) 142, Portions 3 and 4 of Farm De Kuilen 142, Portion 0 (RE) of Farm De Kuilen (also known as ‘Kromkolk’) 142, Portion 0 (RE) of Farm Nuwehoogte (also known as ‘Rietkloof’) 141, Portions 0 (RE) and 1 of Farm Vinkekuil 144, Portion 1 of Farm Nuwehoogte 141, Portion 0 (RE) of Farm Lange Kuil (also known as ‘Bakoond’) 136, Portion 1 of Farm Quagga Plaat 135, Portion 1 of Farm Lange Kuil 136 and Portion O (RE) of Farm Phisante River 92 approximately 26km north-west of the centre of the town of Sutherland in the Karoo Hoogland Local Municipality, Northern Cape. The development will include the following: up to 70 wind turbines (including turbine hardstand areas), a battery energy storage system (BESS), auxiliary buildings, construction site camp(s), temporary and permanent laydown area(s); batching plant(s) and internal and perimeter access roads and will have a contracted capacity of up to 500MW and will cover approximately 29 083ha. The GPS has been estimated at Portion 1 of Farm De Kuilen (also known as ‘Knoffelshoek’) 142 32°26'22.3"S 21°08'55.8"E
