About this development
Further expansion of the existing GM (General Motors) plant at Struandale in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. In addition to the expansion of facilities, the investment is also directed at upgrading the company's equipment and tooling. The bulk of this investment is being allocated to the Struandale plant to ensure that it will be well equipped for the production of the new Hummer H3. Struandale is to get a new body shop and general assembly area and its paint shop will also benefit from modifications. Total Value: R439 million.
