About this development

Construction of engineering water services to the rural village of Xonxa, Efama, Kampdale, Gandu and Egcibhala (north and south). The scope of works includes: Construction of approximately 17km of bulk and distribution pipelines varying from 50 to 75mm (Class 10); installation of 30 standpipes; construction of four borehole pump stations (2 litres/ sec combined) and chlorination buildings; construction of an elevated 400kj capacity, water storage steel reservoir; minor earthworks construction of berns and gabions; telemerty equipment. All the villages are located within the Emalahleni Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape Province.
