About this development
Development of a recreational and business facility on erf 448 Butterworth, in the Eastern Cape. Erf 448, generally known as Bowling Green, is located in the center of the town along N2 (also known as Mthatha Street). It is bounded by Blyth Street on the east, King Street on the west and High Street on the North. It is 5712.435 square meters in extent. It is currently being used, amongst other things, as the pickup/drop-off zone for long-distance busses like Greyhound, Roadlink and City to City. The envisaged development in intended as a recreational and business facility with a specific aim to promote tourism and heritage development in the Mnquma area in general and Butterworth in particular. Consequently the availability of the following facilities, among others, is prioritized: Restaurants and coffee shops; Waiting facility for passengers; Visitors information center; Arts and Crafts center; Internet Café; etc.
