The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Coastal Region Water Secu- rity and Climate Resilience Program and intends to apply part of the proceeds from this financing for payment of consult- ing services for Ecological Impact Assessment of Downstream Risks and Impacts of Mwache Multipurpose Dam Project. The Consulting Services main objective is to develop an action plan/methodology to mitigate the downstream ecological impacts of the planned Mwache Dam, to maintain or improve the ecological condition of the downstream Mwache Creek/Estuary. The Scope of Services will include but not limited to the following key consultancy services; Scoping and data collection, Review and study planning; Surveys and establishment of baseline; Water flow and quality modeling; Assessment of risks and impacts; and Propose a detailed plan to monitor significant Project impacts. The Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services.
