The South African Rail Commuter Corporation Ltd (SARCC) intends appointing a Consulting firm for the Investigation on Exterior Train Washing Plants in Wits, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. You are invited to express your willingness to participate in this project by the submission of a proposal in support of your appointment. The project will be executed in two phases. The first phase will encompass a definition of the problem, identification and discussion of alternative solutions and recommendation of the most economical sound solution(s). The second phase will involve a tender and refurbishment phase. Phase two will only commence once the SARCC has considered and approved the recommendations forthcoming from the first phase. Project Objectives: Phase 1: A professional consulting firm to: Investigate 4 washing plants (including sourcing of relevant plant documentation), and; Determine the corrective steps (if any) for each plant; Design, produce specifications and works lists (based on corrective steps); Manage the tender process. This will have to be done on four Training Washing Plants in Wits, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban across the spectrum from process control plant, structural equipment, washing system, haulage system, water treatment, plant operations, cleaning materials, relevant documentation, etc.
