The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho (GOL) has received financing (herein after called the "Credit or Grant") from the World Bank towards the cost of the "Water Sector Improvement Project - Phase 2 (Les.WSIP-2)", and intends to apply a portion of this Credit or Grant to eligible payments for the Consulting Services: Preparation and Implementation of HIV/AIDS Management Policy and Plan; Design and Supervision of Water Supply and Sanitation Services (The services include the Preparation of Detailed Engineering Design and Tender Documents (Phase I) and provision of Construction supervision services (Phase II) for Water Supply and Sanitation services for 25 villages, which will be affected by the Programme); Design and Supervision of Rural Electrification (The services include the Preparation of Detailed Engineering Design and Tender Documents (Phase I) and provision of Construction supervision services (Phase II) for Electrification of 34 villages which will be affected by the Programme); Preparation of Environmental and Social Management Guidelines/Strategic Environmental Management Plan (The services include the review and update of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Management Plans prepared separately by different Consultants for the different components of the Programme, Advance Infrastructure, Dam, Water Treatment Works, Downstream Conveyance, Metolong Connector etc); Public Opinion Research, Communications and Governance Improvement Plan (GIP) (The services include the Preparation of a Communication Strategy and Governance Improvement Plan (GIP) focused on anticorruption measures); and Preparation of Risk Management Plan and Periodic Monitoring of Implementation for the Metolong Dam and Water Supply Programme (MDWSP) (The services required under this assignment are to develop a Risk Management Plan and monitor its implementation. The Preparation of Risk Management Plan includes risk identification and development of a risk log, undertake a comprehensive risk analysis, and preparation of a Risk Management Plan and mitigation strategy. The monitoring service includes the carrying out of quarterly monitoring of the implementation of the Risk Management Plan). The Metolong Programme Implementation Unit (MPIU) [to be succeeded by the Metolong Authority] now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interests in providing the services.
