Nkomati Nickel Mine is located approximately 45 km from Machadorp, in Mpumalanga. As part the Phase 2 Open Pit Expansion Project a contract mining company will be required for the mucking, hauling and dumping of between twenty three and twenty six million tons of hard and soft rock material. The commencement of the contract is reasonably flexible, but the completion date 31 August 2009 is critical to the success of the project and is non-negotiable. Drilling and Blasting will be done by the open pit mining owners team and will not form part of the contract.
