ASA Metals (Pty) Ltd is a joint venture between Eastern Asia Metals Investment CO Ltd from China and the Limpopo Economic Development Enterprise of South Africa and was formally established in February 1997, Dilokong Chrome Mine (Pty) Ltd is a wholy owned subsidiary of SA Metals (Pty) Ltd. The Mine and Smelter are located approximately 125 kilometers south of Polokwane, the capital of Northern Province and 27 kilometers west of the Steelport railway station on the Farm Mooihoek. ASA Metals/Dilokong Chrome Mine is a facility outside Burgersfort that both mines and beneficiaries chrome or e and producers ferrochrome form its smelters. As any facility it generates a certain quantity of various waste, including but not limited to domestic and various forms of hazardous waste. The objective of this project is to ensure an integrated waste management program for the facility to ensure legal compliance at all times.
