DTA 214556
*Note: Details changed See Closing Date.* Tenders are hereby invited for the provision of penexate unit revamp feasibility study for PetroSA in Mossel Bay. Services: The main objective of this modification is to increase octane of the total Penexate Unit output from an 82 RONC to a minimum of 88 RONC and a maximum of 91 RONC. Previous technology assessments have yielded that this outcome is possible through modifications and additions of a Deisopentaniser and a Deisohexaniser together with an optimization of the combination. The Supplier shall execute a detailed process revamp study to include the following: Identification of specific current GTL Refinery equipment that might be affected by the requirement for increase in the final octane of the Penex Unit output streams. Process review of all major equipment including pumps, vessels, heat exchangers and columns associated with the unit and all those identified in point above. Provision of cost/benefit justification for changes to expensive equipment Calculation of yield estimates, material and energy balances to evaluate all affected equipment capability to meet new load requirements. Provision of details outlining ways in which prescribed octane targets will be met within specified constraints of equipment falling outside the scope of changes. Provision of new equipment specifications in meeting the required process outputs (mainly octane and throughput). Specification of outside battery limit requirements and clear separation thereof from the inside battery limits work. Required utilities must be shown separately from all other work to be done. Development and highlighting of any commercial terms related to the technical input. Identification and specification of further activities and project phases necessary for implementation of this project.
