The development and the operation of the Wildfontein coal mine is situated on remaining extent and portion 1 of the Farm Wildfontein 420 JS in the Emakhazeni local municipality in the Nkangala district of the Mpumalanga Province. The mine will be called Wildfontein. Associated infrastructure will include diesel storage facilities, mobile offices, stockpiles, weigh-bridge, haul roads, access roads and pollution control measures.
