About this development
Construction of the Imvuselelo solar photovoltaic facility on a Portion of the Remaining Extent of Portion 1 of Farm Uitkyk No. 377IS and Portion 6 of Farm Uitkyk No. 377IS located in the Lekwa Local Municipality and Gert Sibande District Municipality, Mpumalanga. The solar PV will consist of mono or bifacial PV modules mounted on single-axis tracking, dual-axis tracking or fixed axis, inverters and transformers, up to 33kV cabling between the project components and the facility substation, 33/132kV on-site facility substation within an up to 1.25ha footprint, BESS with a footprint of up to 2ha also located within the associated infrastructure area, access road from the R39, internal access roads (up to 12m wide during construction and up to 7m wide during operation) and internal roads between the solar rows (of approximately 5m wide), operational and maintenance building area within a 0.33ha footprint, temporary construction laydown area of up to approximately 2.13ha and galvanised steel fencing of approximately 1.8m in height. Will have a contracted capacity of up to 130MW and will cover approximately 316ha. The GPS has been estimated at Farm Uitkyk 26°48'50.8"S 29°27'24.7"E
