About this development
Douglas Tavistock Joint Venture (DTJV), A BHP Billiton Energy Coal SA and Tavistock Collieries JV, proposes to design, construct and operate a mine waer reclamation plant on mine property near Middelburg in the Mpumalanga Province. The proposed project will entail the collection, treatment and discharge of mine water into the Upper Olifants River catchment. The main objective of the proposed project is to treat excess impacted mine water to acceptable standards and make it available for re-use in the catchment.
