About this development
Construction of Phase 2B of the Upilanga Solar and Green Hydrogen Park, known as "Upilanga Valley", on Portion 72 of the Farm Matjesrivier 41, Karoshoek, near Upington, Northern Cape. Phase 2B (ICPH 3) consists of an 800MV PV and a 200MW CSP that will supply a 100MW electrolyser facility (Electrolyser 2B). This will become a 400MW net baseload integrated CSP and PV Hybrid (ICPH) consisting of the 800MV PV + 200MW CSP. ICPH 4 will supply electrolyser 2B, with the balance of the ICPH 4 electricity being wheeled for offtake by Eskom NTCSA or third parties. Phase 2B, also envisages an additional 100MW electrolyser facility (2C) that will get its electricity supply from the ICPH’s at Upilanga Valley. The GPS co-ordinates are 28°29'31.5"S 21°30'18.9"E
