About this development

Construction of services and infrastructure for the proposed residences and other facilities for students on the Bloemfontein and Welkom Campuses of CUT for this significant project which responds to its Strategic Vision 2020. The development project will cover the following critical areas: The construction of student accommodation on the Bloemfontein and Welkom campuses. The establishment of a boutique hotel primarily for training our students in hospitality and as a complimentary facility to the local hospitality industry. The relocation of academic programmes with the potential to generate third-stream income to a new site (Cecilia Park in Langenhoven Park) in order to ease the congestion on the Bloemfontein campus. The establishment of a Regional Innovation Centre with facilities to provide for some incubation support for new and specialised enterprises with a technology, manufacturing or service core which is aligned to the University's academic programmes. Overall Project Value: R200 million.
