About this development
Development of the Tumelo Coal Mine in Mpumalanga. Tumelo is located on the farm Boschmanskop,which lies on the north-eastern edge of the Witbank coalfield just south of the massive Optimum Colliery, adjacent to Eskom’s Hendrina Power Station. Tumelo will be an underground mine to a maximum depth of 120 m. Project value: R95 million to develop the mine.
