Tangora Gold Project, Burkina Faso

Mako Gold's Tangora Project is located in the Banfora greenstone belt in the southwest of Burkina Faso. Multiple artisanal mining sites are concentrated in proximity to the geological contact within the Birimian age greenstone units (green unit on the geology map). The artisanal mining sites are associated with major structures (as shown on the geophysical map) that provide 'plumbing' for gold-bearing fluids. There has been no known previous drilling on the Tangora permit. There is excellent infrastructure in the immediate vicinity, including high-tension power lines and major highways. The town of Banfora immediately to the north of the Tangora permit, provides a base to stage exploration.
