About this development
Construction of the 480MW Soyuz 2 Wind Energy Facility and associated infrastructure located approximately 23km south east of Britstown in the Emthanjeni Local Municipality and the Pixley ka Seme District Municipality in the Northern Cape province. The infrastructure will include: Up to 75 wind turbines; Battery Energy Storage System; three substations and operation and maintenance facilities as well as a lay down area at each substation. Operation and maintenance facilities include a gate house, security building, control centre, offices, warehouses and workshops. Access roads to the site and between project components inclusive of stormwater infrastructure. The estimated GPS coordinates are 30°38'08.6"S 23°33'47.7"E
