About this development
The Socaf permit covers 224km² of a sparsely outcropping inlier of Birimian volcanics interpreted as a northern continuation of the regional scale Senegal-Mali shear zone in Mali. Three zones of coherent gold anomalism were outlined by the auger drilling associated with the interpreted IP structures. Nine of the reconnaissance auger holes intersected >0.5g/t gold including peak results of 3m at 1.58g/t gold, 3m at 1.49g/t gold, 3m at 1.64g/t and 3m at 1.36g/t gold. The Socaf gold geochemical anomaly now covers an area of approximately 2.0km by 1.0km and remains lightly tested by drilling.
