About this development
The project will include the development of a 16-million-ton-a-year coal-processing plant, called the Phola coal processing plant. Will process 8 million tons a years of coal from each of the JV partners. This plant will replace the existing Rietspruit coal-washing plant. The plant will service coal from two mines, Klipspruit and Anglo Coal's new mine, Zondagsfontein. Project value : +/-R1 billion.
