Construction of Phakisa Estate, a housing project in Welkom in the Free State. Basil Read has teamed up with gold miner Harmony (HAR) and the Matjhabeng Municipality to develop a 600 hectare project which will include 6 000 middle income housing units. The units will be built in three phases of about 2 000 units a year. Project value: R1,2 billion.
