About this development
The project involves the development of the first zinc mine in Burkina Faso in West Africa. The mine is expected to produce 116000 t/y of zinc concentrate for 14 years. The feasibility study incorporates a mine design consisting of a shaft and decline to access the orebody, ramping up to deliver 525 000 t/y of run-of-mine ore to a simple process facility. Estimated project value: $72 million.
