About this development
Development of an opencast coal mine on approximately 360ha of portions of the farm Oogiesfontein 4 IS and Klipfontein 3 IS, bounded by the N12 in the north, the R545 in the west and Ogies to the south, in Mpumalanga. Boxcut development and mining will be by truck and shovel methods. The development will include a 8000 ton coal silo, package sewage treatment plant, bulk fuel storage, pumping out of groundwater influxes in the mine, access roads and development of the infrastructure area.
