About this development
The Niou Project is located in the central part of the Burkina Faso. It is only 50km north of Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou and it is easily accessed by a good road system. A large artisanal mining site is located adjacent to a 7km long gold-in-soil anomaly (1000m X 500m grid). The gold-in-soil anomaly is open in multiple directions and remains to be drill tested. There has been no known previous drilling on the permit. Shearing, which is favourable for gold deposition, was observed at the large artisanal mining site.Visible gold in quartz was observed by Mako Gold management in July 2016 from this 40m deep artisanal mining shaft. The exact co-ordinates are currently not available however the approximate area of location is lat: 12.828858579604214; long: -1.9915236700998866.
