About this development
The Natougou Gold Project is located 320km south-east of Ouagadougou on the Company’s Boungou exploration permit, in Burkina Faso. The Natougou gold deposit was discovered by Orbis Gold in April 2102 following a regional reverse circulation drilling program testing high-order gold-in-soil anomalies The Natougou gold deposit is a high grade deposit with a gold grade significantly above that typical of West African gold deposit. In October 2013 Orbis announced highly positive results from a Scoping Study assessing development of Natougou as a large-scale open pit gold mine with associated processing infrastructure. The updated scoping study estimates an after-tax preproduction capital at $233.9 million.
