About this development
Rehabilitation of National Route N4 Section 15, from km 46.9 at Zeerust to N4 Section 16 at km 48.8 at the Botswana Border, North West. CIDB 9CE. This project is on the Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concession network and is located between the N4 Section 15 km 46.9 at the truck stop just prior to the town of Zeerust and N4 Section 16 km 48.8 at the Botswana Border. The work includes rehabilitation of the area through the town of Zeerest, cold in-situ recycling and level correction of sections between N4-16 km 12.6 and 48.8, localised patching repairs and the resurfacing of the entire road width. The road is a single carriageway with the following configurations: N4-15 km 46.9 to 49.2, N4-15 km 50.42 to 52.6 and N4-16 km 0.0 to 48.8: two 3.7m wide lanes with a 2.5m wide shoulder in both directions. N4-15 km 49.2 to 50.42: four 3.2m wide lanes through the town of Zeerust with 2.5m wide parking areas either side. Section A: N4-16 km 12.6 to 48.8. Section B: N4-16 km 43.080 to 44.360 and N4-16 km 46.300 to 47.120 vertical alignment correction. Section C: N4-16 km 0.0 to 12.6, N4-15 km 46.9 49.2 and N4-15 km 50.42 to 52.6, N4-15 km 49.2 to 50.42 (Zeerust), N4-16 Km 5.894 westbound and eastbound. GPS has been placed at the Zeerust truck stop 25°32'34.5"S 26°06'23.5"E
