About this development
Construction of the The 490-million m³ Ntabelanga Dam, to be built in Ntabelanga on the Tsitsa River, a tributary of the Mzimvubu River for the Umzimvubu Water Project in the Eastern Cape Province. The proposed Ntabelanga Dam site is located approximately 25 km east of the town Maclear and north of the R396. This site was found to be the best in terms of domestic and irrigation water supplies. Estimated value: R20 billion for the entire water project. The exact co-ordinates are currently not available however the approximate area of location is Laleni, 31°15'14.0"S 28°54'38.3"E
