Mooiplaats Coal Project, Mpumalanga

Development of the Mooiplaats Coal Project for CoAL in Mpumalanga. Mooiplaats is within 2 kilometres of the Camden power station that South African power utility, Eskom, has recommissioned to help combat the company's growing energy crisis. CoAL has secured a long-term port allocation of the export of coal mined at Mooiplaats through the Richards Bay dry bulk terminal operated by Grindrod. CoAL will spend about $40 million to bring the project into production.
