About this development
Development of the Mafube Macro Mine adjacent to the Arnot colliery, near Middelburg in Mpumalanga. Development will include infrastructure such as coal washing plants etc. Possibility that several functions will be outsourced as per the Mafube Micro Mine. The project entails the expansion of Mafube Colliery, increasing capacity from the current production of 1,2 million tons a year to 5 million tons a year.The capital cost of the Mafube expansion project is expected to be about R1,9-billion upon completion.
