About this development
Construction of Phase 1 of the Lithuli Waste Water Treatment Works located on the Remainder of Kwamhlanga 617 JR, within the Thembisile Hani Local Municipality, Mpumalanga. Phase 1 will be done on a turnkey basis and duration of the contract is 36 months and consists of design and monitoring of the construction. Phase 1 of the project entails: The construction of a 6Ml/d Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) WWTW (6.5ha area) and the installation of outfall sewer lines PD9, PD8, PE3 and PE2 (5.06km long) to drain the already reticulated areas of Kwamhlanga A and B. The construction of the WWTW will be phased over a period of 20 years, with a total capacity of 13 Ml/d on completion. Phase 1 of the project entails the construction of a 3 Ml/d WWTW and associated outfall sewers. The GPS co-ordinates for the proposed waste water treatment works are, 25°23'06.4"S 28°41'08.8"E.
