About this development
Renovations and construction at the Letaba Hospital in Mopani District, Limpopo. The scope of works for contract A6 includes the following: Construction of a new waste management facility, demolition of the old unused kitchen, construction a new 36 bed female general ward, repairs and upgrading of existing walkways for fire, IUSS compliance and to allow future golf-cart access-new covered / uncovered walkway from mortuary to the existing helipad and new waiting area to OPD, upgrading the meter sewer lines, upgrades to existing potable water supply line (including providing water cut off valves and meters for each building), additional fire hydrants and pump station, conversion of the existing female general ward into a 26 bed female surgical ward, upgrading of the existing helipad including provision of landing lights as per CAASA equipment’s, ICT fittings and fixtures for buildings where these were not provided as per LDOH requirements, rehabilitation / upgrading of the petrol store adjacent to the maintenance workshop and upgrading of the calorifier at the old pediatric ward. The contract also includes obtaining local municipality approval for structures at the hospital and addressing fire compliance issues. Value R98 917 330.97
