About this development
Construction of a solar farm on Portion 0 of Letaba Estates AH 16 LS and Portion 0 of Letaba Estates AH 17 LT within the Greater Tzaneen Local Municipality of Limpopo. The combined size of the properties is approximately 4.7ha and the proposed solar farm will have a maximum footprint of 3.5ha. The solar plant will comprise of 152 photovoltaic solar panels and will have a capacity of 2.49 megawatt. Solar energy will be fed into an existing sub-station located directly adjacent to the proposed site via a series of inverters. Electricity will be distributed utilising the existing internal “off-grid” electrical infrastructure across the farm in order to supply uninterrupted power to agricultural activities during periods of load shedding.
