About this development
Kusile Power Station (previously Project Bravo) comprises the construction, commissioning and operation of a coal-fire power station and its associated infrastructure in the Witbank area in Mpumalanga. The power station itself will comprise 6 boiler/turbine sets with a nominal electricity generation capacity of about 4 818MW gross output. The project will include the following: a power station precinct, with power station buildings; administrative buildings (control buildings, medical and security); and a high-voltage yard. The construction of a Water Pipeline for the Kusile Power Station Project. The power station will be fueled by coal, supplied from the nearby New Largo Reserve with supporting coal from the Zondagsfontein reserve.
