About this development
Development of a proposed opencast mine at Jikama, some 300ha in size. The associated infrastructure will include a coal beneficiation plant, mine residue deposit facilities, diesel storage, roads and pollution control measures. The proposed mine is located 45km south of Middelburg on the farms Kleinfontein, Leeuwfontein and Middelkraal, in Mpumalanga.
